LLP "Orda Glass Ltd." launched Kazakhstan's first sheet glass production plant in October 2022 in the city of Kyzylorda. The enterprise is located in the "Ondyrys" industrial zone.
The project cost is 42.1 billion tenge. The plant was built with funds from Chinese investors.
The company operates a high-quality float glass production line, the largest glass production line in Central Asia. The maximum daily output is 600 tons, and the annual production capacity is 197,100 tons of float glass.
The main products include colorless transparent float glass, colored float glass, and coated glass. Currently, 70% of the products manufactured here are sold on the domestic market, while one-third is exported to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, and Russia.
The project is included in the list of priority activities. An investment contract has been signed with the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, which provides the investor with benefits and preferences.
The Kazakh side granted 50 hectares of land for the plant's construction as a natural grant, provided the necessary engineering infrastructure, and temporarily exempted the investors from customs duties, corporate income tax, land tax, and property tax.
In June 2024, the company launched its second project in Kyzylorda – the production of energy-saving glass with LOW-E (Low Emissivity) coating.
The project's cost was 6.7 billion tenge, with a production capacity of five million square meters per year. The workshop operates in two shifts, providing 20 permanent jobs.
It is worth noting that LLP "Orda Glass Ltd." is a subsidiary of "China Glass Holdings Ltd."
